Relocation to Saint-Nazaire

It is to the north of the Loire estuary that the town of Saint-Nazaire is located, on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.

The city constitutes with Nantes an important economic center of the Great West, in particular thanks to the port infrastructures of the Grand maritime port of Nantes – Saint-Nazaire, but also to its strong industrial sector, with naval construction and shipbuilding.

The city is known for its Chantiers de l’Atlantique which is one of the largest sites in the world where large ships of more than 300 meters are built. Thus, the largest and longest liner in the world today, the Wonder of the Seas, the Harmony of the Seas, were built in Saint-Nazaire.

Saint-Nazaire is a commune in western France, capital of the district of the Loire-Atlantique department in the Pays de la Loire region. The commune, bordered by the Loire and the Atlantic Ocean, is also a coastal commune within the meaning of the law of January 3, 1986, known as the coastal law. Specific town planning provisions therefore apply in order to preserve natural spaces.
